The Basset Bowl is the main event of the calendar year for anyone who has played for the club. It is the coming together of everyone who has played for the club over the season to play a friendly match, home vs away, to compete for the stunning trophy that is the Basset Bowl. The game is played on a superior surface to any of those over the season and is usually held on the once prestigous turf that is the Withdean.
Following the match comes the clubs awards 'ceremony' for the season where people are commended and reminded of times forgotten over the year. The inevitable beery reminiscing follows late into the evening. For more information on previous winners of awards see our club honours page.
